How To Join

Membership Brochure

You can download the membership brochure. Print out a copy to share with friends to help encourage them to join, or make copies if you know of poetry events where you could encourage new memberships. The brochure contains a summary of WPA membership benefits and activities, along with a form to fill out to join the WPA.

Only $20.00 per year!

Your membership supports WPA mission to serve and inspire individuals and communities across the state by supporting the creation, presentation and appreciation of poetry through events, publications, recognition and education. Your membership also supports our annual Burning Word Festival, an amazing celebration of poetry and community.

Member Benefits

• Members have an opportunity to submit a poem to be independently judged and possibly published in our annual members-only poetry anthology.
• Members will also receive a FREE copy of the next anthology ($15 value), and be able to buy additional copies at a 25% discount.
• Members also get 10 to 20% discounts on WPA events such as the Burning Word Festival, and are allowed first chance for tickets.
• You'll be part of and receive a copy of the WPA Members Directory. Depending on your preferences, your listing can include your name, address, phone, email, and website. The yearly directory is sent as a pdf attachment by email, with periodic addendum updates.
• Find out first about our poetry contests, who will be getting the WPA Lifetime Achievement Award next year, when and where our Poetry Roadshow will be traveling, as well as other WPA sponsored events, readings, and workshops.
